The smaller the group, the more at home I feel. And yes, groups of one are a thing I guess.

  1.   Why did he have to put Jack through 300 years of loneliness?  If the man in the moon wanted a Guardian, he should have gotten one when he needed one, not 300 years earlier leaving Jack alone and uncared about for what must have seemed an eternity to him. I really don’t know how anyone with a heart can make someone go through all that pain and loneliness.
I don’t care if it was for a ‘good’ purpose. He offered Jack absolutely no option regarding the matter. It’s just like ‘whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to do what I want and become what I want. You’ll be my puppet and dance on my strings for me." It doesn’t mean that just because someone sacrifices his life to save another, they also want to spend an eternity doing someone’s else’s bidding, even if it is a good cause.
And even worse, he didn’t say a word to Jack other than telling him his name. It’s bad enough to put a boy through such terrible isolation just for his purpose, but he doesn’t even tell Jack what he’s supposed to be.  As Jack Frost said: “You put me here. The least you can do is tell me why.”
And when he finally wanted to reveal Jack Frost as a Guardian, he didn’t directly tell that to Jack Frost, but instead he revealed it to the Guardians instead. So when Jack says: “My name is Jack Frost, and I’m a guardian. You know how I know that? Because the moon told me”, its all bullshit. The moon never told him anything, it was the Guardians that did so.
And even when the film ends, the man in the moon has still not spoken to Jack at all, other than telling his name. I mean, he should just stop being such a pussy and explain to Jack why he had to cause him so much pain, why he had to abandon him after bringing him back to life. Or maybe, he doesn’t even have any reason for that, so that’s why he ignores Jack.
And come to think of it, Jack is essentially a weapon to the MiM to be used against an enemy (Pitch) to condemn the enemy to another eternity of loneliness. You think the MiM truly cared about Jack? If Jack wasn’t capable of stopping Pitch, I bet you that MiM would just have left Jack to rot in his loneliness. Why do you think that when Pitch was not threatening the world, he didn’t bother Jack at all?
It infuriates me that in the film, the MiM is elevated to almost God-like status and in the fandom, the reaction to his actions have been overwhelmingly positive.
Have any of you guys been through a week, a month, a year of loneliness?  No friends, no one caring about you? If you have, I bet you felt depressed as ****. Well, that really nothing compared to what Jack went through. Even if you have no friends, people can still see you. And 1 year if loneliness is nothing compared to 300 years of not being seen and heard. Would you want to be in Jack’s place? Would you want to be driven crazy with sadness and loneliness just so that someone can use you as a weapon 300 years later?
Oh God, I really loathe the MiM.
